Lithuania has started using natural gas from Inčukalns Underground Gas Storage

In January the natural gas supply and trade company "Lietuvos duju tiekimas" (LDT) comprised in Lithuanian National Energy Holding Company "Lietuvos energija" has started to use the natural gas reserves stored in Inčukalns Underground Gas Storage.

The gas stored in Inčukalns Underground Gas Storage in summer 2017 is pumped to Lithuania and delivered to the users together with the gas of Russian concern "Gazprom" and liquified natural gas from Klaipeda gas terminal vessel "Independence".

Last summer Lithuania purchased quite cheap the liquified natural gas from different suppliers and after regasification stores it in Inčukalns Underground Gas Storage.
